Classic Shaker Morris Chair

The Classic Shaker Morris Chair was designed with both form and function in mind. More than 150 years ago, William Morris and Co. in London produced a cushioned chair with an adjustable back—the world's first recliner. Mission styling was added to this basic design by Gustav Stickley in the early 1900s, but this one features the straight, clean lines and refined austerity that gives the Classic Shaker Morris Chair its unmistakeable style.

This item will be handmade by Amish craftsmen once you order. Please expect a build time of 8-12 weeks, plus extra time for delivery.

Your furniture is finished with your choice of stain color or natural color (no stain), then with a varnish that has a light to moderate sheen.

For some furniture the bottom portion (such as table legs and skirting, or the bottom of a hutch) can be painted. Just choose "Two-Tone" if it’s available and then the paint color you would like. You can also choose "Rub Through," which is a light distressing of the painted surface.
