The Hancock Mirror is part of a collection of Shaker inspired furniture. The Hancock collection retains the essential framework and simple aesthetic of the Shaker style, complemented by the occasional graceful curve or ornate brass hardware. It is named after the Hancock Shaker Village, established in Western Massachusetts in 1783 and now home to the Center for Shaker Studies.

Your furniture is finished with your choice of stain color or natural color (no stain), then with a varnish that has a light to moderate sheen.
For some furniture the bottom portion (such as table legs and skirting, or the bottom of a hutch) can be painted. Just choose "Two-Tone" if it’s available and then the paint color you would like. You can also choose "Rub Through," which is a light distressing of the painted surface.
